Everytime I look at an early Miata, I wonder how hard it'd be to change the seats in such a way that I'd fit..

It does look good, but it’s certainly a pain to keep nice. If a squirrel farts three blocks over it scratches your Miata, even if it’s in the garage.

Dunno how big/tall you are but I ain’t the biggest string bean around (5'7ish) and I have
owned two NAs and I still found them cramped inside but Gosh they are fun little run arounds.

To me, Montego Blue will always be the color that just doesn’t work for me when applied to an FD RX-7. Mazda made a lot of FDs in Montego Blue over tan leather and it always just felt like too old-school of a color combo for the thoroughly 90s je llybean styling.

Are those racing seats, harnesses, a tow strap, and no roll bar??
At least there are stickers though, those are important safety features.

I'm 6'4". I know sitting in a stock NB I think my legs sort of fit ok, but I'm sitting with at least an inch or two of my head above the windshield..

6 foot 4.... Uhm....I don’t even think you’ll be able to get into a NA. I was gonna say S2000 but I had one of those, too
and their pretty snuggly. In my opinion there is that kinda Goldilocks zone. Like I can never see out of my G35 I just hope someone isn’t there. But if I was in a truck I can see just fine.

I’ve always liked Montego Blue, but I do see your point.

What’s weird is I’m fine with the same color combo on an NA. Even though the NA and FD have a lot of similar styling elements, the NA being a little roadster makes it more old-school and I’m fine with the more retro-y color combos on NAs and NBs.
